Cosmic Scope for May 2023
This is an interesting month with a mix pot of big transformations.
First half of May would be pretty intense with Pluto going retrograde back to the last few degrees of Capricorn, calling for the final demolition of any remaining old structures, authorities and power, preparing the whole world for the new era of Aquarius which we all caught a glimpse of how the world could be since Mar 2023, both individual and the collective. Joining the intensity is the Lunar Eclipse at 14 degrees in Scorpio which calls for excavation of our deep-seated emotions. Perhaps you are trying to make sense of all that is changing these days. This is the time to surrender and accept the fact that nothing is permanent. I like to think of the metaphor of even the most solid rock can be eroded over time by the waves splashing continuously at it. My personal method of releasing and letting go is during my meditation practice, visualizing myself as a piece of butter slowly melting away down my whole body or a dry ice that is formless. Once I don’t feel my body form, it is a beautiful feeling of floating lightness. Try it!
As we are moving through the heavy 1st week of May, Venus entering Cancer is reminding us to take good care of ourselves and the people we love. It is a time to care and catch up with loved ones to encourage one another through this period.
Second half of May will bless us with the strength, initiative and objective mind to start a new chapter. You will be more motivated to plan and focus on the material resources as Mercury, Jupiter and the New Moon are all in Taurus. To invite abundance, you have to work for it. But you will start to realize that just plain hard work does not bring you the joy that you are after anymore. You are seeking a good balance between working hard, be financially rewarded and be emotionally fulfilled. My personal switch from a Corporate Banker for the past 2 decades to an Astrologer has made me realize the big difference in my own mental and emotional health. Once you feel inspired to make a big change in your life, you will start to be empowered by your own gifts and potentials to show others what great stuff you are made of!
