Ensemble In The Sky

The PLANETS play the function role. It is the 'what?'

(There are 10 major planets in the Natal Chart:

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto)

The SIGNS play the objective role. It is the 'how?'

(There are 12 astrological signs in the Natal Chart:

Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces)

The HOUSES shows the areas of life. It is the 'where?'

(There are 12 houses in the Natal Chart)

The houses depict the territory:

1st House: Self, body

2nd House: Values, self worth, personal finance and resources, material assets

3rd House: Thoughts, communication, early education, teaching, marketing, siblings, relatives, neighbors, local travel, transportation

4th House: Family, father, emotions, heritage, home

5th House: Self expression, creativity, children, love, joy, fun, taking risk

6th House: Service to others, health, pets, daily routine

7th House: Intimate relationship, business partnership, open enemies

8th House: Shared resources, money from others, secrets, inheritance, insurance, loans, sex, taboos, death

9th House: Foreign travel, higher studies, legal issues, beliefs, religion, faith

10th House: Career, public persona, mother

11th House: Friends, community, social circle, dreams

12th House: Spirituality, transcendence, healing, hospitals, prisons, community services, esoteric stuff, hidden

Let’s try putting all 3 parts together. Look at your Sun. What sign is it? Which house does the Sun fall into?

For example: Someone with Sun in Aquarius in the 5th House.

[Sun: Alive, energy] + [Aquarius: Authenticity, radical] + [5th House: Creativity, Joy and fun]

= The person feels energetic and motivated (Sun) when he/she can be authentic and unique self (Aquarius) when it comes to having fun or creative pursuits (5th House).

This equation is applicable to the personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) and the social planets (Jupiter and Saturn).

For outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto), they move much slower through each sign, it is more of a generational archetype, hence, we usually look at the planet + house.
